I’m in the process of refinishing my sister’s Ikea dresser that she passed down to me for my first apartment. Remember the ombré hack from 5 years ago? It is still probably one of my most shared posts, but it’s time to say goodbye to the pink. Anytime I start a new project, I always look online for inspiration. Though I doubt the dresser I end up making will look anything like the ones in this list, it’s still fun to dream about what these would look like in my space!
If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that I recently moved into a new studio apartment! Even though the space is small, it’s taking me quite a long time to get everything set up. That might have to do with all the DIY projects I have in mind. The list of projects is long, but at least I can finally check off this DIY side table using wood dowels! I got the idea after seeing all those mid-century planter DIYs and realized the same concept could be used for a table. I decided to put my theory to the test, and I’m so glad I did because I’m in love with the result!
So I know I’ve been missing from the blog for forever, but I have a good excuse. About three months ago… I MOVED! That’s right! I got my first studio apartment in Chicago. The most exciting part is that I can decorate it anyway I want! Actually, that’s not totally true because a girl has a budget. Plus I inherited a lot, ok all of furniture from my sister. But I’m in the process of making it my own so stay tuned for a lot of decor DIYs and how to make the most of small spaces.

The weather is starting to warm up and I couldn’t be happier about it! It’s finally starting to feel like spring, and warmer temperatures mean I go from drinking hot to iced coffee. I figure by making these iced coffee popsicles flavored with cookies & cream creamer, the warm weather will be here to stay, and the next thing you know it’ll be summertime!
Circle bags made a huge comeback last year and after browsing a few different brands, it looks like the trend is here to stay. There are so many variations of the circle bag including crossbodies (my personal favorite) and totes, all at different price points.
I’m heading to LA next week and I’m thinking one (or two) of these circle bags would look great in all my pictures. (Also, I’ve been to California but it will be my first time in LA, so any recommendations are much appreciated!)
