DIY Wooden Circle Shelves

DIY Wooden Circle Shelves

Oh, Hey…I’m back!

In typical fashion I bought the wood for these DIY Wooden Circle Shelves weeks ago and just got around to making it. Blogging is hard work, guys.

I originally saw these shelves at Urban Outfitters and fell in love with them, but there was no way I was paying 40 bucks for one shelf. I will admit, it was difficult sourcing the wooden circles for this project. The ones I found were either too thin, or too expensive. I had used one of these clock faces to make my Donut Clock and remembered that it was the perfect size and thickness. I figured since the middle of the circle would have the shelf piece, the hole in the middle didn’t really matter.

I love how these DIY Wooden Circle Shelves turned out! They are a great way to display all those little trinkets.

DIY CLAY GHOSTS FOR HALLOWEEN

DIY Clay Ghosts

October might be one of my favorite months of the year. Living in Chicago for the past five years, I’ve become partial to cold weather. It’s not uncommon to see houses decked out with two-story spiders or full-sized Dracula. While I can’t get that extreme, these DIY Clay Ghosts are the perfect addition to my Halloween decor.

DIY Clay Hair Clips

Since barely leaving my apartment last year I’ve been on a natural hair journey. I had been straightening my hair since middle school so it feels odd to wear my hair curly everyday. Because curly hair is such high maintenance, I wanted to opt for some easy and low-effort hairstyles. Thats’s there these DIY Clay Hair Clips come in. It’s so easy to just pull my hair back and also feel put together with these clips. Plus, they’re super easy and fun to make, and the design possibilities are endless!

Baked Peaches with Crisp Topping

08.15.21

Baked peaches with crisp topping served with vanilla ice-cream.

Move over watermelon, because peaches are my favorite summer fruit! I can’t stop eating these baked peaches and it reminded me of my eating habits in college. One of the biggest culprits of my Freshman 15 while in school was a peach cobbler in our all-you-can-eat dining hall. After stuffing my face at the buffet, I’d finish my meal with a bowl of cobbler topped with soft serve vanilla ice-cream. Good times.

Clearly my tastes haven’t changed because here I am with a recipe for the most delicious baked peaches topped with crisp. (Do you know the difference between cobbler, crisps, and crumbles? I definitely had to look it up.) Though this version of baked peached is healthier than what they served in the dining hall, it’s equally, if not more delicious! Read More →
