Happy Friday! I’ve been feeling more inspired lately, which is probably why you’re getting two blog posts in one week. My goal was three posts, but baby steps to bring the blog back from hibernation. I have a few projects I want to work on this weekend, but here are some DIYS if you need some inspiration!

DECOR INSPIRATION: WOODEN SOFAS
08.27.19Sofas are probably the most important element in a living room. The best sofa is stylish, functional, and comfortable. As someone who works from home, I spend way too much time sitting on my sofa while working, and lounging while watching Netflix. If I was sitting on one of these wooden sofas, I would probably feel less guilty about not working from a desk and chair. There is something so elegant about the simplicity of these wooden sofas. And based on number eight, it’s totally possible to DIY one for yourself! Read More →
DIYS TO TRY FOR EARTH DAY
04.22.19Happy Earth Day!! Ever since moving out on my own and being so aware of the things I have to buy, I was surprised by how much waste I produce. Lately, I’ve been trying to swap out some everyday items with more sustainable options. I recently bought a silicon sponge for washing dishes that is supposed to last much longer than a typical sponge. (Silicon sponges also don’t hold bacteria like a regular sponge.) I also started using cloth makeup wipes and they are honestly much more gentle on my skin. Changes like these may seem small, but they add up to a more sustainable life!
I’ve gathered some green DIYS for more inspiration. I’ll definitely make the beeswax wraps and bowl covers for my kitchen! Click through to see all the DIYS! Read More →
DOWEL BED BENCH DIY
11.08.18My apartment is really starting to come along! All I have left to do is make some decor pieces for the space above my couch, reupholster a chair (easier said than done), and make endless covers for all my throw pillows. In order to make my bedroom area look more put together, I wanted a bench for the end of my bed. I decided on making my own wooden dowel bed bench, similar to the side table from a few weeks ago.
As timing would have it, I was asked to join a handful of other bloggers for a “Make It Challenge” inspired by the NBC show “Making It”. We challenged each other to use the same crafting item in a DIY. We settled on unfinished wood. This challenge was so fun, and I feel so lucky to be in the company of such inspiring bloggers! Check out their projects!!
Now I’m thinking I need a bigger apartment to fit in all these DIY ideas because they are so good! Click through to see more of each project!

12 Dressers for Every Budget
09.10.18I’m in the process of refinishing my sister’s Ikea dresser that she passed down to me for my first apartment. Remember the ombré hack from 5 years ago? It is still probably one of my most shared posts, but it’s time to say goodbye to the pink. Anytime I start a new project, I always look online for inspiration. Though I doubt the dresser I end up making will look anything like the ones in this list, it’s still fun to dream about what these would look like in my space!
