I’ve been obsessing over mirror gallery walls lately. You can easily come across some beautiful and unique mirrors at thrift or antique stores. Hang the mirrors as they are or paint them the same color for a more cohesive look.

Chocolate-Dipped Almond Biscotti
01.03.13My mom used to buy these big containers of individually wrapped biscotti. The only problem with this is that I would end up with multiple wrappers as evidence as to how many I ate in one sitting. Biscotti are the perfect snack, whether you’re craving something sweet or nutty. I used this recipe which turned out to be super simple, and chances are you’ll have most of the ingredients on hand. I left out the almond extract and the biscotti still turned out amazing. I’ll bet you can’t eat just one!
Gold Work Lamp
12.28.12Having studied design in college I accumulated a lot of tools that have proved useful for my crafty side. My work space currently contains T-Squares and cutting boards of various sizes, a quill and black ink from when we studied ink sketching and expensive colored pencils that made my bank account take a hit. But my favorite of all my design school possessions is my work lamp. I wanted to give it new life so I spray painted it gold. I love the way it turned out!
First I taped off any parts of the lamp I didn’t want to paint.
Then I spray painted one side at a time.
Easy Peasy! Now the lamp will look good in my work space…or on my bedside.
Polka-Dot Bow Blouse
12.07.12
Look at what I
finished made! I started sewing this top last summer when bow blouses were all the rage. Then school started and it ended up next to my sewing machine for over a year…oops. I have a habit of started intricate projects, getting overly frustrated when I struggle with them and then just giving up. I didn’t want that to happen to this top. I love the fabric and print too much. Plus now I can officially say I have sewn a shirt!
