Hi, I’m Luisa — the founder, editor, and creative voice behind Why Don’t You Make Me?.
What began in 2012 as a personal creative outlet during a challenging post-graduation job search has grown into a vibrant space dedicated to DIY style, home decor, and inspired living. This blog became the creative career I didn’t know I was looking for and I’m so grateful to share it with you.
My journey took an unexpected turn in 2013 when I followed a dream to attend The French Pastry School in Chicago. Though my career path later shifted, my passion for baking remains, and you’ll still find a sprinkle of favorite recipes here. That experience also gifted me a lasting love for Chicago, the city I now proudly call home.
True to its name, Why Don’t You Make Me? is fueled by a hands-on spirit. Here, you’ll find DIY projects spanning fashion and home decor, interior design inspiration, curated finds from fellow creators, and personal reflections on building a creative life.
When I’m not crafting or writing, you’ll likely find me championing breakfast for dinner, walking along the lakeshore, or watching an over-the-top action movie.
