DIY Geometric Necklace
Remember my Geometric Rings? I wanted to make a necklace using the same technique. Instead of painting the clay, I decided to just use brightly colored clay. I absolutely loved the way it turned out!
You’ll need:
– Polymer Clay
– Chain
– Jump Rings
– Jewelry Fastenter
– Wire
– Xacto Blade
– Pliers
1. Start by kneading the clay until it is soft enough to form. Roll the clay into balls. Mine were about 1-1.5″ in diameter.
2. Use one end of the wire to poke a hole all the way through the clay balls. Bake the clay following the instructions on the wrapper.
3. After the clay has baked and cooled, use the Xacto knife to cut off the rounded edges of the ball until you are left with only straight edges.
4. Cut a 6″ piece of wire (or long enough to fit your shapes). Using the pliers, bend a small loop into one of the ends.
5. String your clay shapes onto the wire. Cut off any excess wire and make a loop on the end. Add jump rings to each of the loops.
6. Cut two pieces of chain whatever length you want your necklace. Mine were about 9″ long. Attach a jump ring and fastener to one chain, and a jump ring to the other chain.
7. Attach the opposite ends of the chains to the jump rings on the wire loops. And you’re done!

Holy moly, that is super cute! Great job!

Geometric shapes in jewellery pieces sounds very stylish. These kind of trendy and bold designs have attracted me always, to fit with my bold clothing style.
